The opinion of all member states of the European Union should be taken into consideration when decisions on the enlargement of the Schengen Area are made. This is pointed out in the final declaration of the summit of 13 EU members in Warsaw, marking the 15th anniversary of the first enlargement of the Union to the east. "The key word today is ‘security.’ Without security and stability, European values are hard to defend," Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borissov said in his speech. He said that Bulgaria was doing well with the task of protecting the outer European border and considered it important to strengthen control at all borders on a pan-European level. PM Borisov also pointed out that no Member State should be left to deal with the challenges of migration alone.
