Bulgaria is not sufficiently advertised as a tourist destination, the majority of Bulgarians say. 73% are dissatisfied with advertising of Bulgarian tourism abroad and 68% are dissatisfied with internal advertising, according to data from a poll by Gallup International. The majority of respondents want the state budget to spend more money on advertising Bulgaria as a tourist destination abroad. There is also a large share (78%) of the municipalities willing to allocate funds for their own tourist advertising. Nearly 1/3 of survey participants are satisfied with advertising of domestic tourism sites.
