The Sofia City Court has found guilty of drunk driving the director general of the Bulgarian National Television, Konstantin Kamenarov. Magistrates confirmed the conditional sentence imposed by the court of first instance - 1 year and 3 months of provisional sentence with 3 years of probation and 300 euros fine. The decision is final and cannot be appealed. The verdict raises the question whether Kamenarov will remain head of BNT because under the Radio and Television Act members of the national media boards must not be convicted of deliberate general crimes.
