Latest projections of seat distribution in future European Parliament

The European Parliament published its latest projections of seat distribution in the future European Parliament after the European elections on May 26. The latest estimates are based on 751 seats due to the delay of Brexit. According to the forecast, GERB and the Bulgarian Socialist Party will send 6 MPEs each to the next European Parliament, The Movement for Rights and Freedoms will have 2 MEPs and VMRO, Democratic Bulgaria and Volya will also send an MEP to the new European Parliament. The European People’s Party will remain the biggest bloc with a total of 180 MEPs, followed by the Progressive Alliance of Socialists and Democrats-149 MEPs. The Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe will be third with 76 MEPs in the next EP.
