Five European airport operators bid for concession of Sofia Airport

The application deadline for concession of Sofia Airport expires today. Five candidates filed applications to become future concessionaires of Bulgaria’s biggest airport- Manchester Airports Group, Fraport, Aéroports de Paris Group, Munich Airport (together with Meridiam fund) and Copenhagen Airport. The concession of Sofia Airport will be granted for 35 years and can be further extended. The future concessionaire will have to build a new (third) terminal and expand the second terminal of Sofia Airport.
