European Commissioner for Digital Economy and Society Mariya Gabriel was received in audience at the Vatican by Pope Francis. Mariya Gabriel and Pope Francis discussed topics related to the new technologies and the upholding of human values. Commissioner Gabriel thanked his Holiness Pope Francis for his strong voice in protection of the young people, the Christian values and humanity, as well as for his openness to the new technologies. Mariya Gabriel gave Pope Francis a digital portrait of Grandpa Dobri of Baylovo who turned into a symbol of Christian virtue due to his dedication to Orthodoxy.
