Bulgaria’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Zaharieva meets with Japanese counterpart Taro Kono in Tokyo

Bulgaria’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Ekaterina Zaharieva met with her Japanese counterpart Taro Kono in Tokyo. Ministers Zaharieva and Kono discussed opportunities to boost Bulgaria’s exports to Japan and attract Japanese investments, technologies and tourists in Bulgaria. Minister Taro Kano accepted Ekaterina Zaharieva’s invitation to visit Bulgaria. Japan’s Foreign Ministry can use the experience of the Bulgarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the field of gender equality in the diplomatic service, Minister Kono commented after he learned that half of Bulgaria’s diplomats are women.
