In a letter to Bulgarian members of the European Parliament, Minister of Transport Rossen Zhelyazkov has called for joint actions with all same-minded Member States related to Mobility Package I. Minister Zhelyazkov pointed out that protection of the Bulgarian transport sector was a national cause and all resources must be mobilized for the defense of national interests before the plenary session of the European Parliament scheduled for March 25-28. The Minister has identified the inclusion of Mobility Package I on the agenda as unprecedented pressure, imposing discriminatory rules on Bulgarian carriers. The Minister pointed out that actions aimed at bankruptcy of a whole branch, not only of the Bulgarian economy, but also of other peripheral EU Member States, were by no means among the core European values.
