Bulgarian boxer Daniel Asenov won the gold medal in the 52 kilogram category at the U22 European Boxing Championships in Vladikavkaz (Russia) for the sixth consecutive year. Asenov scored a 5:0 victory versus Kiaran Mac Donald (Great Britain) in the final match. Daniel Asenov’s brother Boyan won the silver medal in the 56 kilogram category. Emi-Mari Todorova won bronze in the 48 kilogram category in the Women’s competition. Thus, Bulgaria earned one gold, one silver and one bronze at the U22 European Boxing Championships in Vladikavkaz.
