Vladimir Iliev wins silver medal at world biathlon championships

Vladimir Iliev won the silver medal in the men's 20 km Individual at the World Biathlon Championships in Ostersund, Sweden.  

This is the first medal ever for Bulgaria in men’s biathlon at such a sports event. Iliev finished with 19 out of 20 targets down, and very good running, 1:8:7 seconds behind the winner Arnd Peiffer who did not miss a single target. The bronze went to Tarjei Bø, who finished with one error and one second behind the Bulgarian competitor.
