Agriculture Minister Rumen Porodzanov has met with the Ambassador of Morocco to Bulgaria H.E. Mrs Zakia El Midaoui.

Minister Porodzanov pointed out that the European market is a core market for Bulgarian manufacturers, but that the country’s ties with countries outside the EU are also very important. He expressed the interest of Bulgarian farmers and processors of entering good markets like that of Morocco and Northern Africa.

Mrs Zakia El Midaoui conveyed an invitation for participation by Bulgarian companies in the biggest agricultural exposition in Morocco, April 16-21. Seventy countries took part in the exposition in 2018, and it was visited by over one million people.

Morocco is a distribution centre for the rest of Africa and can be regarded by Bulgarian exporters as a platform, while Bulgaria is a gateway to the Balkans, Mrs Zakia El Midaoui said.
