Work by Bulgarian writer included in U.S. literature textbook

The short story "Blood" by Bulgarian writer Zdravka Evtimova, has been included in an 8th-grade literature textbook in the United States. The Bulgarian short story is among selected works by authors such as Ray Bradbury, Isaac Asimov, Edgar Allan Poe, and Howard Lovecraft.

Zdravka Evtimova was born in 1959. She is an English Philology graduate from the Veliko Tarnovo University. She studied literature translation in St. Louis, USA. Her stories have been published in more than 32 countries and she is a winner of numerous national and international awards
