A record number of one million listeners on a weekly basis has been achieved by the Bulgarian National Radio, the report presented by Director General of the public media, Alexander Velev, at a meeting of the National Council for Electronic Media. During this period Radio Bulgaria continued to perform its functions of public media. It remained a main source of information from and about Bulgaria for foreign audiences around the world, as well as to Bulgarian diasporas abroad with its pages ten different languages - Bulgarian, English, French, German, Spanish, Greek, Albanian, Serbian, Turkish and Russian.
