Bulgarian Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications, Rosen Zhelyazkov, has presented the Bulgarian position on the draft Mobility Package I at a meeting with one of the rapporteurs on the dossier, Wim Van de Camp. The transport ministers of Lithuania, Hungary and Poland were also present at the meeting.
Minister Zhelyazkov has pointed out that Bulgarian carriers disagree with prepared changes and expect discussions in the European Parliament to result in necessary balance. Zhelyazkov pointed out that fundamental rights and freedoms, as well as the normal functioning of the free market, were threatened by the imposed restrictive, disproportionate and protectionist measures.
