Bulgaria’s Ombudsman Maya Manolova refers amendments to Fuels Act to Constitutional Court

Bulgaria’s Ombudsman Maya Manolova submitted a complaint to the country’s Constitutional Court over the high financial requirements and the restrictions in the new Fuels Act. Maya Manolova contends that these requirements affect both the small merchants of fuels and the Bulgarian consumers, because possible bankruptcies of small fuel stations would limit competition and strengthen dominant position in this sector.
