Bulgaria has the ambition to become a gas distribution center in the Balkan region. For this purpose, the country has been working together with the European Commission on the concept of building a Balkan gas distribution center.
The news has been announced by Bulgarian Minister of Energy Temenuzhka Petkova during the signing a Memorandum of Understanding for cooperation in the development of planned Balkan gas hub between the Bulgarian gas transmission operator Bulgartransgaz and CEGH. Both sides will exchange know-how and good practices on the construction and operation of gas hubs.
CEGH will also support the gas trade in Bulgaria by providing assistance, services and information, it was reported.
