The Serbian authorities have detained four people in connection with alleged crimes including issuing of fake documents used by Serbian nationals to claim Bulgarian citizenship, Serbia’s Ministry of Interior announced. The scheme functioned for two years, but the announcement does not specify how many people were issued fake documents. The information about arrests in Serbia was announced only several hours after the prosecutor overseeing the inquiry into the work of the State Agency for Bulgarians Abroad Angel Kanev said that investigations are held in Ukraine, countries from the Western Balkans and other countries.
