EU to impose sanctions on persons and entities involved in use of chemical weapons anywhere, regardless of their nationality and location

Bulgaria’s Deputy Premier and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ekaterina Zaharieva represented Bulgaria at the regular session of the Foreign Affairs Council in Luxembourg. The Foreign Affairs Council has adopted new regime of restrictive measures to address the use and proliferation of chemical weapons. Thus, the EU will be able from now on to impose sanctions on persons and entities involved in the development and the use of chemical weapons anywhere, regardless of their nationality and location.
