61 percent of respondents say they approve of the three ministerial resignations in the Borissov 3 cabinet, indicates an express survey conducted by Alpha Research, commissioned by Bulgarian National TV.
The act of assuming political responsibility for the bus accident near Svoge, in which 17 were killed, is given an overall positive assessment by the public. Almost 30 percent do not approve of the resignations, prominent among them being the supporters of the two principal political adversaries – GERB and the Bulgarian Socialist Party. The former show moderation in their assessments, because of loyalty to their cabinet ministers, and the latter – because of their underlying mistrust of the entire government.
The survey highlights a problem that is more serious – the insufficiency of the act of ministerial resignations, when systemic defects affect broad sections of the public.
