The USA donated to the Bulgarian Naval Forces four high-speed motorboats at a special ceremony held in the coastal city of Varna. The Commander of the Bulgarian Navy Rear-Admiral Mitko Petev commented that the donation boosts the capabilities of the special forces of the Bulgarian navy. Thanks to the Panther helicopters and the naval boats the Bulgarian naval fleet has now a full set of naval equipment for quick response, Rear Admiral Petev added. The Ambassador of the USA to Bulgaria Eric Rubin pointed out that Bulgaria is the first country from the Black Sea region which received such motorboats and specified that the donation of the USA amounts to USD 2 million.
