Bulgaria’s National Assembly hosts annual conference of Association of Bulgarian Schools Abroad

The Bulgarian National Assembly hosts on July 26 the annual conference of the Association of Bulgarian Schools Abroad. The forum will be held under the motto Bulgarian Language- Spiritual Bridge for National Unity. The participants will accentuate during the discussions on the achievements and the problems of the Bulgarian schools abroad. There are over 400 Bulgarian schools abroad and their main task is to preserve the national consciousness through teaching Bulgarian language, literature, history and geography of Bulgaria. According to statistics, over 2 million Bulgarians (one-third of the country’s population) live abroad.
