During a meeting in Berlin Bulgarian Minister of Foreign Affairs Ekaterina Zaharieva and her German counterpart Heiko Maas shared the opinion that a solution to the problem of migration can only be a pan-European one.
Minister Zaharieva reiterated Sofia's position that the way to finding a solution went through closing EU's external borders, keeping the agreement with Turkey working, establishing centers outside Europe and the rapid return of illegal migrants.
Minister Maas congratulated Zaharieva for the successful conclusion of the first Bulgarian Presidency of the Council of the EU. The two minister have rated bilateral relations as excellent.
