Prime Minister Borissov holds talks with Austrian Chancellor Kurtz and European Council President Tusk

Prior to the symbolic handover ceremony of the Presidency of the Council of EU, a meeting between Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borissov, Austrian Federal Chancellor Sebastian Kurtz and European Council President Donald Tusk was held.

The focus of talks was on the results achieved during the Bulgarian Presidency of the Council of the EU and on the priorities of the European Council over the next six months on which the Austria will work. Prime Minister Borissov has thanked for the constructive dialogue in the Council, which gave the opportunity to renew the attention on the Balkan region and wished the Austrian Presidency success.

The Austrian Presidency of the Council of EU will continue the Bulgarian line by focusing on three key priorities: security and the fight against illegal migration, competitiveness through digitization and providing European perspective for the countries of the Western Balkans and Southeastern Europe.
