The fact that UK is leaving the European Union should not negatively affect the rights of Bulgarians living there. This was what Bulgarian President Rumen Radev said at a meeting in Sofia with leader of the European Conservatives and Reformists Group Syed Kamall.

The two were unanimous that the vote of British citizens should be respected, but it was in the interests of the EU and the UK to preserve trust, constructive dialogue and cooperation in sensitive areas such as security and defense.
