The We Love Aerobics sports event has been gaining recent popularity and is now eagerly expected in Sofia through winter and at the seaside in summer. Its 8th edition in the period June 25th – July 1st will turn the Albena resort into a huge aerobics playground. Head of the first Bulgarian Fitness and Sports Academy Martin Gadjev is the event’s organizer. The man has been an aerobics instructor for 12 years now and he teaches combat extreme – a fitness program with martial art elements, accompanied by music.
The idea for We Love Aerobics was born after Martin’s participation in an international fitness festival abroad. More details from the founder:
‘It all happened by coincidence,’ Martin says. ‘I don’t know if you believe in those things, but when you want something badly and put a lot of efforts into it, many circumstances help along the way. When I started to look for a location for the first summer festival, I received an offer from the chief manager of sports for Albena, who knew that I had organized several events of that kind in Sofia. He liked the idea, we scored incredible success yet in the first year – and we have been growing ever since. Albena is a really nice destination, with good food and clean beaches. The place is wonderful for a holiday.’
Martin Gadjev says that this edition of the forum will accentuate on parties. ‘We have invited a DJ and there are official parties scheduled for Friday and Saturday. We will welcome July morning together,’ he explains. 10 coaches in different sports will take care of the bodies’ shaping and the good mood of the participants in the one-week-long aerobic marathon. Ramon Dominguez from Ecuador is one of them – he used to be a professional dancer in his country, with participations in show programs and performances. 6 years ago he came to Bulgaria and became a Zumba instructor. His charming smile and communication excellence will make you demolish any psychological barriers that you might have, expressing the newly discovered freedom through dancing. He says in an excellent Bulgarian:
‘This festival is an event that we all have been looking forward to, in order to have fun and relax at the same time. We have prepared a very interesting mixture of trainings to teach: combat extreme, Zumba, fitness, Pilates, yoga, Kangoo Jumps, Bulgarian Bag, circulating functional trainings etc.’
Dilyana Kostova will be his colleague onstage during We Love Aerobics:
‘I am a Pilates coach and for a 4th year in a row I will have classes at the festival. I promise to show during the training how people can comprehend the capabilities of their bodies,’ Dilyana says and adds: ‘During these festivals one gets the chance not only to try new things and relax, but also to meet different interesting people.’
Martin Gadjev points out that the event is for all those who love parties, no matter their level of fitness: ‘We Love Aerobics is open for all fans of aerobics, we don’t develop any professional sport. Our only requirement is that our participants should leave all their ‘luggage’ at home and must come to have fun only,’ Martin Gadjev says in conclusion.
