Minister Zaharieva: Balkans will attract investments if they show unity

Bulgarian Minister of Foreign Affairs Ekaterina Zaharieva said that if the Balkan countries showed unity, they could attract investments to the region.

Minister Zaharieva added that if there was reconciliation between the countries of the Western Balkans, not only investments, but trade and job creation would also rise. The Minister recalled that after Bulgaria and Macedonia signed their friendship and co-operation agreement, their bilateral trade rose by 11 per cent in just five months. Minister Zaharieva voiced her observation during this year's Vienna Economic Forum, held in Sofia under the motto "Politics meets Economy ".
