As usual the lyrics and the music are written by Maria Mutafchieva (the voice of the popular Bulgarian band). Mary, Ilian (keyboard), Miro (guitar), Ivan Dimov (percussions) and Ivan Ivanov (bass guitar) have prepared a concert version of the new album and are looking forward to meeting their fans in Sofia.

Happy Days is an album which gathers moods and songs of the recent years, Maria Mutafchieva says. I took a completed song out of the new album and wrote a new one instead. I always try to give the best of myself. In the new album you will find well known songs such as Vain Words, To See Your Face Again, as well as the pieces I have just written such as Till the End of Time, At the Door Step and No Way Back. Mary Boys Band also presents Inside of Me and the ballad Both of Us Together. We recorded this piece together with Georgi Velichkov (accordion). I believe that our music fans will listen to this song quite often and that the music editors in Bulgaria will also like it. I am trying to send positive messages with my music. This is the least I can do – to materialize my thoughts about all good and beautiful things. I also see there is evil out there and the world is heading towards its destruction. However, I always want to believe there is an alternative and to show it.

The album already had its early premiere in the town of Gabrovo.

People from the neighboring towns Sevlievo, Veliko Tarnovo, Lyaskovets, Byala and Lovech also attended the event. It was organized by Dr Pavlina Hinkova who has been a fan of our music for many years. Vazrazhdane hall was literally packed with people. People wanted to listen to our music and meet us after the concert. We talk with our fans on different topics, not only about music. We have fun together and even cry together. We tell each other personal stories. I like to joke that I don’t need any psychoanalyst, because I have these moments. These confessions mean that we feel close. I am so thankful to these people.

The official presentation of the Happy Days album will be on May 18 in Sofia Live Club and the musicians from Mary Boys Band have been rehearsing actively for the forthcoming concert.

Recording and album and presenting it on the stage are two completely different things. We feel stage fright before each concert, although we have been holding concerts for years. I even refused a concert in Brussels. I wanted to have enough time to get ready for the premiere of the new album. We release our Happy Days album eight years after our previous album Long Way Home. It is very important for us to present the new album well. We like to play in Sofia Live Club- good sound and wonderful people. Music fans from all parts of Bulgaria come to enjoy our performance in Sofia Live Club. Six months ago a travel agency asked us about the date of our premiere, because some music fans from the USA wanted to plan their holiday in advance and come for our concert. I believe we did our best in the studio and we have prepared a good show for the forthcoming concert. I hope our music fans will take their children with them. We need to see the children watching us from the first row, singing our songs and having a good time.
