Bulgaria is ready to join the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) and expects its roadmap for preparation and opening of membership negotiations.
“Our position is clear and constructive. We enjoy the support of EU member states.” This was what Minister of the Bulgarian Presidency of the Council of EU, Lilyana Pavlova said at the opening of the OECD High Level Conference, the respective press center reported.
Minister Pavlova represented this country at the forum, dedicated to Southeast Europe, as well as new reform programs and competitiveness development in the region.
The Minister recalled that the country has applied for membership in the OECD since 2007 and over the years has demonstrated its adherence to the basic principles of an open market economy, democratic pluralism, will for reforms and respect for human rights.
