PM Boyko Borissov announced he had instructed Bulgaria’s Minister of Transport Ivaylo Moskovski to work towards the establishment of a regional air transport association of Balkan countries which do not have air carriers of their own.

After a meeting with the Chairman of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina Denis Zvizdić, Borissov stated he had ideas regarding such an airline company, to be subsidized by 4-5 countries until it gets off the ground.

Zvizdić on his part said he had discussed a regional airline association with the Bulgarian prime minister that would connect the capitals of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Macedonia and Albania.

After the discussions with Denis Zvizdić in Sofia, PM Borissov said he was pleased to see that the political elite of the Western Balkans had come to realize that the region has but one path of development – towards the EU and NATO.
