This was what Bulgarian President Rumen Radev said in his address to the Sixth Global Forum for Combating Anti-Semitism that is taking place in Israel. Earlier today Radev honored the memory of the Jews who died during the sinking of the Salvador ship.
"78 years ago, over 350 Jews left Varna on their way to their homeland onboard the Bulgarian ship Salvador, but not all of them reached their destination. Just 119 of the passengers were saved after a shipwreck in the Sea of Marmara," President Radev recalled.
