The celebrations on occasion of Bulgaria’s National Liberation Day ended with solemn festive fireworks at Narodno Sabranie Square downtown Sofia. Bulgaria’s President and Supreme Commander-in-Chief Rumen Radev greeted the Guard of Honor.  The Bulgarian Guards Brass Band and various military formations took part at the ceremony. In his speech Bulgaria’s President Radev pointed out that the San Stefano Peace Treaty which was singed 140 years ago made the dreams of the Bulgarians to live in a free country come true. Rumen Radev reminded that soldiers from many countries lost their lives during the Russo-Turkish War. Bulgaria is the last home of these soldiers and today we honor them as our heroes, President Radev added. On Saturday evening Bulgaria’s head of state holds a reception on occasion of the National Liberation Day at the Central Military Club in Sofia.
