Bulgarian Food Safety Agency continues food tests in connection with double standards in foods

Experts from the Bulgarian Food Safety Agency are making third food tests at large-retail chains in four EU member states. Later, these foods will be compared with the identical-brand food items sold on the Bulgarian market. The third food test is part of the procedure which aims at tackling double standards in food sold in Western Europe and in the Eastern European countries. The first test was made in June last year. Laboratory tests found different ingredients in 8 of 31 identical-brand food items. The second test was made in August 2017. The laboratory tests did not find different ingredients in any of the food samples.
