Former Head of the National Intelligence Service, Kircho Kirov, has received a two-year suspended sentence for the disclosure of classified information. The Sofia City Court found him guilty over revealing in an interview in 2014 facts and circumstances surrounding his work as a director of the intelligence, which are state secrets. This is the third conviction for the ex-director of the intelligence. Because of embezzlement of some 5 million euros, he has recently received a 10-year and a 15-year effective sentence.
