Bulgaria - Macedonia Cooperation Committee meets in Kyustendil

Bulgarian Deputy Minister of Regional Development and Public Works Denitsa Nikolova has chaired the meeting of the Joint Monitoring Committee of the Bulgaria-Macedonia cross-border cooperation program 2014-2020.

The program has a total budget of just over EUR 19 million. Currently over 60% of contracts have been signed and 10 million euros are already in place. The projects aim at investments related to sustainable tourism, improving the environment and competitiveness in cross-border areas.

Deputy Minister Nikolova said that the resource of the second call for participation in the cross-border cooperation program between the two countries reaches some 3.5 million euros.
