Bulgaria and Switzerland have signed an intergovernmental Agreement on Police Cooperation. The document was signed by Minister of Interior Valentin Radev and Simonetta Sommaruga, head of the Federal Department of Justice and Police of the Swiss Confederation.
The aim is to step up efforts for combating all forms of crime and prevent threats to public security. At the talks between Radev and Sommaruga, Bulgaria has vowed to cooperate with Switzerland on the issue of trafficking in human beings and the exploitation of women, while Switzerland has voiced its support for Bulgaria's Schengen bid.
