Bulgarian policemen to protest on day of official opening of Bulgaria’s Presidency of Council of European Union

Bulgaria’s Police Syndicates announced that they are planning to launch protests on January 11 when the first Bulgarian Presidency of the Council of the European Union will be officially opened in Bulgaria’s capital Sofia. Another protest is planned for January 25 when the Ministers of the Interior of the EU member states are to meet in Sofia. The syndicates of the Bulgarian Ministry of Interior are demanding an entirely-new Ministry of the Interior Act and insist that the increase of the salaries of the employed at the Interior Ministry should be backdated.
