The musicians left for the Scandinavian countries after promoting their debut album Fly on 21 November in Sofia and later in Plovdiv.
Fly features 10 original tracks performed by Funky Miracle to an exceptionally high professional standard. Some saw them as the next Akaga – a funk band with an active professional career going back over 20 years. Funky Miracle’s drummer Rado is actually Ivan Kazasov’s son – Akaga’s trumpet player. Bridging the generation gap, in this case in funk music, gives ample hope for the future of this music style in Bulgaria.
Funky Miracle’s debut album Fly was produced by Smile’s Music and Perfect Records, with music producer Borislav Boyadjiev. Here is what Vladi Michev, Funky Music’s trombone player had to say about the project:
“We – my friends and I – are very happy that the album is out. And, of course, we are enjoying all the euphoria surrounding its release. Inspired by flying, the music in it takes us on a journey to be2autiful emotions, and we “fly” together. It is a feeling we want to convey to the people listening to it. The album is a blend of different ideas and the resulting music is a combination of the best of them. It helps us take off and fly.”
At the presentation of the album, Funky Miracle’s fans were able to see the video to the pilot single, entitled She never even knew. And all this was made possible with the support of the Akaga band, Lubo Kirov, Vladimir Ampov, aka Grafa (the Count), Angel Dyulgerov, Orlin Pavlov, Preya, Southwick, the girls from La Ti Da, Ruth Koleva and many fans.
