EC offers help to Bulgaria, other EU countries willing to join Eurozone

EU Budget Commissioner Günther Oettinger has announced that the European Commission is ready to provide assistance to EU countries willing to join the Eurozone. He has expressed the European Commission’s willingness to assist Bulgaria technically, financially and with advice in this regard.

Günther Oettinger has remarked that the EU has allocated 140 billion euro to serve this objective which will be made available if necessary to countries willing to introduce the common currency. A formal proposal on this issue will be made by the Commission next year.
