From December 1 Bulgarians and Romanians can travel to Canada without visas. The new rules apply for short visits of up to 6 months for tourism or business purposes. However, lifting of visas does not affect persons who want to work or study in the country. Anyone traveling by plane should register on the Canadian government website, and registration may be refused only if a person was banned from entering the country.
