Code orange over abundant rainfall and snow declared for most Bulgarian districts on Monday

Code orange over abundant rainfall and snow was issued for two thirds of the Bulgarian districts on Monday. In North Bulgaria Code Orange was issued for Vidin, Montana, Vratsa, Lovech, Pleven, Gabrovo and Veliko Tarnovo. In South Bulgaria Code Orange for extreme weather was declared for Pernik, Kyustendil, Blagoevgrad, Sofia city, Sofia District, Pazardzhik, Plovdiv, Smolyan, Plovdiv, Haskovo, Stara Zagora and Kardzhali districts. Meteorologists forecast precipitation of 40 liters per square meter in some areas and a snow blanket reaching 20 centimeters.
