In an interview with the Bulgarian National Radio, experts have commented on the topic of the good neighbor agreement between Bulgaria and Macedonia. All of them are of the opinion that today's joint meeting of the governments of Bulgaria and Macedonia has been a symbolic act that represented another step towards even better relationship.

Experts pointed out that after this meeting there should be clarity about the timeframe for ratification of the neighborhood agreement in Macedonia. In the Balkans, problems are never solved easily, but without this agreement, relations cannot continue to improve, said Bisser Banchev of the Institute of Balkan Studies at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences.

Ivan Vinarov, professor at University of National and World Economy (UNWE), on the other hand, pointed out that the US government has praised Bulgaria and Macedonia for the good neighbor agreement.

Journalist Kosta Filipov, a longtime correspondent in Macedonia, has positively assessed the bilateral agreements reached and has expressed hope that after 26 years of Corridor number 8 being a priority, it could finally be realized.
