Deputy Prime Minister Ekaterina Zaharieva meets with Michel Barnier

Bulgarian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ekaterina Zaharieva has met for talks with Michel Barnier, Chief Negotiator for Brexit.

The two officials have met in Brussels during Zaharieva’s working visit where she joined a meeting of the General Affairs Council. They have discussed Brexit talks.

Ekaterina Zaharieva has pointed to the priorities during the first phase of Brexit negotiations according to Bulgaria: in the first place, the rights of citizens, as well as the settlement of the financial obligations of the United Kingdom in compliance with all undertaken commitments.
