Bulgarian tourism marks rise in revenues and quality

Bulgaria is more often being recognized as a tourist destination, offering quality, Minister of Tourism Nikolina Angelkova told the BNR. Tourism together with sectors linked to it has a share of 12 percent of the Gross Domestic Product of this country, she added. For the first 8 months of the year, revenues from international tourism reached over 2.6 billion euros, which is 11 percent more in comparison to the past year. The number of foreign tourists has risen by 8 percent.
