2,500 Bulgarian companies are doing business in Romania

Nearly 2,500 Bulgarian companies are currently doing business in Romania and their number is expected to increase, Deputy Director of the Bulgarian Small and Medium Enterprises Promotion Agency Rumiana Tsakanska announced at a Bulgarian-Romanian Business Forum held in Sofia. Nearly 2,100 Romanian companies are functioning in Bulgaria. Romania is among Bulgaria’s biggest trade partners. It is Bulgaria’s 3rd biggest export partner in the EU after Germany and Italy and Bulgaria’s 4th biggest world trade partner after Germany, Italy and Turkey.  The annual trade between Bulgaria and Romania exceeds EUR 4 billion, Lubomir Ganchev, advisor of the Bulgarian Minister of Economy announced. Bulgaria’s export to Romania amounts to nearly EUR 2 billion per year.
