EBRD revises upwards its forecast for Bulgaria’s economic growth

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development has revised upwards its forecast about the growth of the Bulgarian economy. According to its new forecast, the gross domestic product will increase with 3.5% in 2017 and with 3.2% in 2018. Consumption is expected to be the main engine of growth. The experts of the financial institution also improved their forecast about the development of the national economies in the whole Southeast Europe. The economy of the region will continue to grow in 2018, although growth is expected to slow down slightly to 3% of the GDP.
