Bulgaria takes eighth place in Europe when it comes to use of veterinary antibiotics

Bulgaria ranks eighth in Europe when it comes to the use of antibiotics in veterinary practice.

This is what data by the European Medicines Agency, which analyzed the market of medicines in 30 European countries in 2015, shows. Some 121 milligrams of antibiotics are used  per one kilogram of live weight in Bulgaria, figures show.

In comparison to Bulgaria about 2.9 mg of antibiotics are used per kilo of live meat in Norway.
