Excavations near the village of Archar have revealed the city of Ratsiaria looted by treasure hunters. It used to be the capital of the Roman province of Riverside Dacia. Last year’s finds suggest that the city emerged around a Roman military camp during 1 c. AD which had not been proved previously.
