Pilots of light aircraft and paragliders gather on Saturday near the coastal resort of Sunny Beach to take part at the first light aircraft forum in Bulgaria. The two-day event includes discussions on various topics and debates on proposals for legislative amendments. Not all airfields used by amateur pilots must be certified, Colonel Tsvetan Doganov who works for the Bulgarian Air Forces contends. There are hundreds of unlicensed airfields in England, Wales and Scotland for instance. We are to discuss during the forum where we can and where we cannot fly, pilot Gicho Kovachev who owns the airfield near Sunny Beach pointed out. Our goal is to make the Bulgarian airspace safer, Mr Kovachev went on to say.
