All European Union member states have demanded simplifying the implementation of various measures for financing agriculture, Bulgarian Minister of Agriculture and Food Rumen Porozhanov said during the Fourth International Conference Peace and Agriculture underway near the Black Sea port of Varna.

Simplification of procedures should apply absolutely everywhere - from requirements put to farmers all the way to the programs and audits, Porozhanov pointed out. According to him, too many requirements sometimes result in physical inability to perform them and in mistakes.

The new EU member states are also pushing for a reduction in the funding gap between the old and the new EU countries, Porozhanov also said.
