Sofia marks European Day of Languages

A language quiz and Language Fair in Sofia will mark the European Day of Languages ​​in the period September 26-30.

Cultural institutions of various European countries in Bulgaria, as well as the cultural departments of some embassies in Sofia will take part in the events, it was reported. The aim of the European Day of Languages ​​is to raise awareness of languages ​​used in Europe, to promote cultural and linguistic diversity and to stimulate language learning throughout life.

There are 24 official EU languages; over 200 European languages, as well as some 60 regional/minority languages, and others.
